True Charlestonian Package-$1050

Visitors from all over can get a lesson in all things Southern with the Wentworth Mansion’s True Charlestonian Package, which includes a two-night stay at the mansion and a 3 course dinner for two at Circa 1886. Guests also receive a fashion consultation at Berlin’s (bow tie and seersucker suit a must!), a four-generation clothing business at the corner of King and Broad streets; two tickets to Fort Sumter, where the “war of Northern aggression” began; and a carriage ride through historic downtown Charleston for a history – and “lingo” – lesson. Known as one of the country’s most polite cities, guests can experience a true Southern tea in the hotel’s sun porch room, and they’ll also get to take a little bit of Charleston home with them with a gift basket of Charleston goodies from Market Street Munchies, including tea, pecans and benne wafers. 

25th Annual Progressive Dinner Package

The restaurant’s Progressive Dinner is an annual tradition that takes visitors by horse-drawn carriage to three of Charming Inns' historic and elegant establishments -- the Kings Courtyard Inn, Circa 1886 and the John Rutledge House Inn, all decorated in grand style for the holidays -- for different courses of a four-course gourmet meal. 

The Progressive Dinner Package includes accommodations for two, the Progressive Dinner (excluding room tax and beverages), a rickshaw ride to Kings Courtyard Inn and a Junior League Party Receipts Cookbook.

A Christmas Carol Package

Circa 1886 will take guests back to Victorian England for storyteller Tim Lowry’s lively retelling of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" while they enjoy a four-course dinner inspired by the novel. The dinner is at 6:30 p.m.(excluding room tax and beverages),

Wentworth Mansion® is offering a special two-night package, starting at $1,050 (room tax and additional beverages not included), to coincide with the dinner for visitors who want to continue the celebration into the night. It includes five-course dinner for two at Circa 1886 on any night besides Sunday, two commemorative etched champagne glasses and a bottle of champagne. Seatings are at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m.

Also included is a 45-minute horse-drawn carriage ride through a bamboo forest and woodlands to an abandoned rice field where Carolina Gold once flourished.

Food and Wine Gourmand Package

This exclusive three night package (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) includes accommodations in a mansion room for two people in the luxurious AAA Five Diamond Wentworth Mansion.  Built in 1886 as a private residence this beautiful mansion is located in downtown Charleston in the historic district just a short walk from Francis Marion Square – the site of the 2011 Wine and Food Festival.  After enjoying a complimentary hot cooked to order Southern breakfast on Friday guests will begin their day with tickets to “Wine Around the Garden” a Wine tasting at Middleton Place Gardens (12:00-3:00pm). Shuttles will chauffeur patrons to Middleton Place where guests will captivate all of the senses as they stroll through the historic and charming gardens with a glass of wine in hand and taste assorted foods prepared by local chefs. Friday evening you will be back on the grounds of the Wentworth Mansion at on site AAA 4 Diamond, Forbes 4 Star Circa 1886 restaurant (www.circa1886.com) for the festival dine around (6:30pm) where executive chef Marc Collins will play host to a guest chef.  On Saturday morning guests will enjoy the fantastic Culinary Village (11:00am-2:00pm) at Francis Marion Square where they will experience many samples of the finest food Charleston and the Southeast have to offer as well as taste wines from all over the country. On Saturday afternoon guests will enjoy a new festival event, “Block Party Home Receptions” (4:00-7:00pm) where you can browse through five different historic homes each with a winemaker who will be pouring samples and travel through Charleston’s culinary past with authentic recipes, created by local chefs and caterers. Sunday morning will prove to be one of the highlights of the weekend with tickets to the famed Sunday Gospel Bruch (11:00am-1:00pm).  The Gourmand Package is limited in availability and is offered at a special rate of $2295.00 for two people. A deposit of 50% of the package price will be due at time of reservation.  Cancellation is 14 days prior to arrival – any cancellations after this date will forfeit their deposit.
