The Spa at Wentworth Mansion®, which opened in October 2004, is a unique concept that offers patrons a full range of spa services within a 100-year-old restored building in the heart of downtown Charleston, S.C.

Run by popular Charleston day spa Urban Nirvana, who leases the space from AAA Five Diamond Award-winning Wentworth Mansion®, the spa is set in the former stables of the Mansion, which was once the home of a wealthy cotton merchant.

The 1000-square-foot spa combines original elements of the building with more modern features to offer an ambiance like no other. The architect, construction crew and designer restored the building, creating a one-of-a-kind setting that incorporates the original stable vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, the original floors, as well as glass brick installed when the building was constructed in 1886. The spa also features many traditional Charleston-style elements, such as an old iron gate, contrasted by contemporary lighting, furniture, fountain and amenities.

The spa has a locker/changing room and three treatment rooms, one of which is dedicated solely to couples. Patrons may choose from a variety of treatments including massages, wraps, scrubs, skin care treatments and waxing services. Guests of the Wentworth Mansion® may also enjoy special packages that allow them to select in-room treatments accompanied by a healthy lunch from the hotel's AAA Four Diamond Award-winning restaurant Circa 1886.
